The Vinyl Cafe is a one-hour music and comedy radio show hosted by award-winning Canadian writer and broadcaster Stuart McLean. The show is celebrating its twenty-third season on CBC radio in Canada and is also broadcast in the US in 14 states. In the US, the Vinyl Cafe has won the Most Licensed Group and Most Licensed Series on PRX (Public Radio Exchange) three times. It is listened to by over 2 million people across North America each week. Up & Away is the latest collection of hilarious stories from Canada’s favourite storyteller, Stuart McLean, host of CBC Radio show The Vinyl Cafe. Sit back and let Vinyl Cafe: Up & Away transport you to the always-entertaining world of Dave, Morley and friends. We’ll touch down in Nova Scotia for a tale of the Greatest Hockey Game Ever Played, and the introduction of the first roundabout in Big Narrows; we’ll drop in on Sam as he spends his first night home alone, and hear about a school field trip that doesn’t go exactly as planned; we’ll float by Dave and Kenny figuring out the mechanics of a sensory deprivation tank, and the science of a sourdough starter. All this plus stories about disastrous dinner parties, airport security, a dog named Tissue and more! Up & Away will lift you up and keep you laughing for close to five hours. Over four hours of stories that all the family will enjoy, gathered into an elegant 4-disc package.- Format Detail: 4CD PrimaPak Digistak
