With more metal, but with lasting lyrical content, the album, again recorded in collaboration with producer Rolf Munkes at his Empire Studios, is a work of maturity and depth. The eleven songs seem to have been cast from a single multifaceted mold. Every note displays conviction and energy that the band has applied when recording such a powerful album. Although the Folk components have obviously been given a lesser role, the new Minotaurus tracks sound like familiar friends. The consistently present melodies cast an immediate cast a spell over the listener and warm themselves into the ear and the memory. With "Victims Of The Underworld" Minotaurus have delivered a monumental work even by their own standards, and one which will surely generate new fans of this genre.
