In the solitude of the night, with only your thoughts, music, and a microphone for company, you delve into the depths of the unknown on VOID 1680 AM. Whether your mood is somber or joyful, you use the power of music to create something fleeting and beautiful in the vast emptiness of the airwaves.
Written by Ken Lowery, VOID 1680 AM is not just a zine—it's an experience. With custom radio diagrams by Dylan Todd and cover art by Jordan Witt, this 28-page sourcebook invites you to explore the mysteries of late-night radio like never before.
In VOID 1680 AM, you'll become the voice that speaks into the void, reaching out to listeners who may be tuning in from the shadows. With a deck of cards, a six-sided die, and a stack of music, you'll build playlists, invent and interact with callers to your show, and evolve their stories over multiple broadcasts.
But the allure of late-night radio goes beyond the airwaves. VOID 1680 AM includes rules for single-session and ongoing play, allowing you to dive deeper into the world of late-night broadcasting. You can even have your show broadcast on AM and YouTube, adding an extra layer of immersion to your gaming experience.
In this game, you have the power to build a 12-song playlist, shape the stories of your callers, and even add your voice to an archive of callers for other DJs to use in their own games. But beware, for the darkness holds its secrets, and not all who listen are what they seem.
Are you ready to speak into the void and discover what lies beyond? Tune in to VOID 1680 AM and let your voice be heard.
