The Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Saturnine boxed set contains a treasure trove of content, including a rulebook detailing the lore and background of the galaxy-shaking civil war, gorgeous photography and art, and the core rules you need to play the game. The box also contains 50 plastic miniatures – including an imposing Saturnine Dreadnought and a host of MKII "Crusade" armoured Space Marines – allowing you to build two opposing forces for out-of-the-box play, or begin building a Legion force all your own. Alongside all of this, you'll get game accessories and rules reference materials to immerse yourself in the worlds of the Age of Darkness. Whether you prefer building, painting, in-depth narrative play, or balanced matched play, this box will support your journey through the 31st Millennium.
This box contains 50 multipart plastic miniatures:
– 1x Saturnine Praetor
– 1x Centurion in MKII power armour
– 1x Saturnine Dreadnought
– 1x Araknae Quad Accelerator Platform
– 6x Saturnine Terminators
– 40x Legionaries in MKII power armour
– 36x Disintegrator weapons upgrades
These miniatures are easy to customise. The Centurion has a choice of two different heads, and the Praetor can be armed with a vicious axe or a brutal hammer, and has cosmetic options including different heads and pauldrons.
The intimidating Saturnine Dreadnought has a choice of photonic incinerators or concussive resonators as secondary weapons, and numerous cosmetic options, including heads and armour plating.
The Saturnine Terminators come with six plasma bombards, six twin heavy disintegrators, and six disruption fists with optional particle shredders, so you can ensure you have the right weapon for the right target.
The Space Marine Legionaries in MKII power armour include parts to build optional sergeants, Legionaries with a nuncio-voxes, augury scanners, and vexilla. The sergeants each have a choice of three heads and weapon options. The Legionaries with bolters can take an optional bayonet or chain bayonet, and the heads and accessories – including grenades, pistol holsters, and pouches – are interchangeable across the miniatures. This box also comes with a set of disintegrator weapons so you can upgrade your infantry to Veteran Tactical Squads, armed with these devastating weapons.
These miniatures have no Legion-specific markings, so you can use them in any Space Marines force, whether you're loyal to the Emperor or have joined Horus in his rebellion.
The 352-page hardback Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook contains:
– Background and lore: Extensive information about the Age of Darkness, the Legiones Astartes, other factions, a timeline, inspiring artwork, and miniatures photography.
