by Martin Carter (Author)
This cheerful and rhythmic poem captures the excitement and magic of the Christmas season through a child's eyes. It begins with the anticipation of Christmas Day, marked by the turning of an Advent calendar window each day. The poem joyfully follows the journey toward Christmas, highlighting festive traditions such as Santa's magical visit, decorated trees with candy canes, and glowing lights.
A recurring chorus playfully questions the color of Santa's suit, engaging readers in a sing-song riddle - "Is it green or is it red?" - adding a sense of fun and repetition. The poem also reflects the universal joy Santa brings, regardless of what name he goes by in different cultures. It ends with a warm, inclusive message of love, light, and celebration, wishing everyone a merry and magical Christmas. Overall, the poem is a lyrical celebration of holiday spirit, family traditions, and the shared wonder of the festive seasonAbout the Author:
