EXUM, aka Antone Chavez Exum Jr. was born in Richmond Virginia. He took a little detour on his musical journey, spending years as a professional footballer in the NFL playing for teams such as the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings.

While playing sports most of his life, he always held music dear to his heart.

In 2020 he flew to Oslo and hooked up with a producer named Samkopf.

Together they honed the EXUM sound that mixes alt pop and hip hop, falling somewhere between Toro Y Moi,, Baby Keem, Prince, Twin Shadow and Tyler The Creator.
