Pietersite Shoulder Drilled Faceted Pears measure approximately 8x5mm to 9x6mm in size, have a vitreous luster showing Chatoyancy, the gems are a medium to dark denim blue hue with a chatoyant phenomenon to each stone, the gems have symmetry with excellent faceting and polish, beads have a dark shimmering quality to the opaque gems, and this rare gem is a fine example of the South African sourced stone.
